PLATO'S Rules

PLATO is the name of a famous Greek philosopher. PLATO'S Rules refers to the seven key steps used in project management to manage any project. It stands for Project Language And T raining Order Sequence. Throughout the ages, people involved with projects have followed these steps to get things done for work and for play.  You and your friends can use PLATO'S Rules to do homework assignments, plan a sports event, or organize a party. Whatever your goals are, PLATO'S Rules can help you achieve them.

  1. Always begin with the end in mind.
  2. Don't plan more than what you can do.
  3. Look for risks which can ruin your plan.
  4. Get agreement of the people in the project.
  5. Keep track of your accomplishments.
  6. Make changes only when necessary.
  7. Know when you are done.
